The concept

Rental income from a business you’d never enter on your own

India is in a heavy construction boom. Access equipment and cranes are in strong demand, but they are expensive to buy, technical to operate and need a team on the road to keep them earning. It is a niche most people would never enter alone.

The concept is simple: you invest in machines at an amount and time-commitment that suits you, and earn rental income from them. Acube finds the work, deploys the machine, runs it, bills the client and collects. You own the earning asset; we do the running.

How it started

A necessity that became a win-win

Rental is capital-intensive, and in the early days bank loans were hard to get for a young business. Friends and family had savings and were looking for new avenues, and offered to put money into machines. But no single investor had the bandwidth to buy a whole machine.

So we built the model: pool the investments, Acube charges a management fee on the gross income, and the rest is distributed by share. It began as a necessity. Everyone stayed, and it grew. Today up to a hundred machines have run under this model.

What this gives you

Six things you get

Rental income

Income begins once the machine is bought, deployed and the client’s credit period clears, generally 2 to 4 months in. It is consistent, not fixed: it moves with the client and the credit cycle.

A real, insured asset

Where your investment equals or exceeds one machine’s price, the machine is registered and insured in your name. Below that, you hold a share in a machine that stays in Acube’s name.

Nothing to run

Operators, transport, servicing, documents, client follow-up and collections are Acube’s job. Your time-commitment is reading a monthly statement.

Machine-sized units

You invest machine by machine. A position can be transferred at machine level to another investor or back to Acube, without disturbing the rest.

Consistency

Compared with most business investments, rental income is steadier: many clients, many sites, and a manager whose fee depends on the fleet earning.

Tax and GST

Depreciation on an owned machine can be set against income, and the GST paid on purchase comes back to you as credit. Your accountant can confirm what applies to you.

Real estate and machinery

Not a replacement. The complement.

Real estate gives you capital appreciation with a low rental yield. Machinery gives you a high rental return on an asset that depreciates. Both belong in a portfolio; machinery is the income side.

Who this suits

People who want income from a real business, without running one

Investments start at ₹25 lakh for individuals and ₹75 lakh for companies. A machine is transferred to your name only when your investment equals or exceeds one machine’s price; below that you hold a share.

Salaried professionals

Income from the construction economy with Acube’s team doing the work, alongside your career.

Business owners and family offices

Capital that is idle or in low-yield instruments, put to work in an asset you can see and insure.

Real-estate investors

You already hold appreciation. This adds the rental-income side, in a unit you can buy in minutes.

Companies and institutions

Whole machines in the company’s name, with the GST credit and depreciation on the company’s books.

First-time alternative investors

A signed agreement, a monthly statement and a manager you can call. Start with one machine and grow.

Anyone who prefers to see the asset

Every machine has a number, a location and a client. You can visit it.

How it works

Four steps

  1. Choose your machines

Pick one machine, or diversify your amount across several. We show projected returns, current machines and their history before you decide.

  2. Sign the agreement

A written agreement sets out your share, the management fee, payouts, GST and exit terms. Funds are transferred only after signing.

  3. We deploy and run

Acube buys, registers, insures, transports and staffs the machine, finds the client and bills them. Income starts as the first credit period clears.

  4. You see everything monthly

Statement, dashboard and payout. Every bill, expense and receipt against your machine, with your share worked out line by line.

What you see every month

Your dashboard, not a summary

Aggregate on top, then each machine: invested, net income, paid to you, balance with clients, and a bill-by-bill calculation you can trace to the invoice.

Investor view: totals and one card per machine
Investor view: your totals, then one card per machine — income, cash and the last three months at a glance.

Getting out

A long-term position with a clear exit

  • You may sell your position to a fellow investor or back to Acube. Nobody can be made to buy on the spot.
  • If no buyer is ready, give a minimum of six months’ notice and Acube pays off the position with nominal interest.
  • A share cannot be sold at “market value”: half a machine has no price. Exits are settled on the position, machine by machine.
  • This is a long-term investment. Rental income builds over time, so an early exit can mean a loss; the longer you stay invested, the higher the return.
What can go wrong

Three real risks

Occupancy and rates

A machine can sit idle between jobs, and rental rates move with demand. Income is consistent, not guaranteed.

Breakdowns and insurance

Repairs cost money and time. Machines are insured; wear and tear is not, and it is charged against the machine’s income.

Client credit

Clients pay on credit periods and sometimes late. Your share of a bill is paid when the client pays it, and the pending balance is always visible.
